Lake Lurleen, which is located just outside of Tuscaloosa, is a man-made lake that covers 250 acres. It's named after Lurleen Wallace - Alabama's first female governor. Lake Lurleen is also the main feature of Lake Lurleen State Park.
When it comes time to eat, there are also several picnic tables surrounding Lake Lurleen. These shaded areas are a great place to eat, relax and experience a great view of the lake.
