East Lyme is a p[opular summer destination due to its small town New England charm and stunning views. But even if you’re just coming to do a little shopping, you can’t leave leave without taking a stroll down this boardwalk. There’s just no better way to experience the Long Island Sound.

The Niantic Bay Boardwalk is 1.1 miles long and includes many benches along its path. So whether you're going for a brisk walk or just relaxing with a frozen treat, this is a great spot.

Though the western half of this boardwalk is gravel path, the eastern half is a traditional boardwalk that follows the curve of the shoreline. It crosses over dunes and offers a more aerial view of the sound. Watch as waves crash against the rocks and keep your eyes open for seals!
