This 19th century mining town is one of the best places on the planet, especially in the summer. Head there for one of their events, like the 4th of July or the Flint Creek Valley Days, and you'll see why people love it so much. Virginia City really comes alive in the summertime. From the tours to the shows, to the locals dressed up in character, it's an unforgettable experience every Montanan should see.
