Spring Flowers In RI
What are some good flower farms in RI?
From vast Rhode Island sunflower farms to beautiful estate gardens, we are blessed with numerous places to enjoy spring and summer flowers. Here are a few of our favorite flower farms in RI that we think you'll enjoy:
- Wicked Tulips Flower Farm, Exeter, RI: One of our favorite spring flowers is the noble tulip. And the best tulips are Wicked Tulips. This delightful flower farm comes from the marriage of a Dutch flower farmer and a local "green girl" who moved to Rhode Island in 2015. The farm is amazing with over 1.5 million bulbs in layers of vibrant color reflecting in the sun. With over 75 varieties of tulips to choose from, you will be in tulip heaven come late April.
- Dame Farm & Orchard, Johnston, RI: This gorgeous farm will treat you to glorious tulips, lavender, snapdragons, lilies, and more varieties of blooming wonders. The farm also has U-pick apples in the fall with nine varieties of apples to choose from. If you simply want to enjoy a walk through the farm on a warm day you can do so as well. Just stop at the Farm Stand to pick out fresh fruits, veggies, and flowers before you go.
- Blithewold Estate, Bristol, RI: While this gorgeous garden isn't a U-pick flower farm, you can enjoy a day surrounded by sweet-smelling daffodils and tulips. If you visit in April you can take part in Daffodil Days - an annual festival celebrating spring and the arrival of these delicate white and yellow flowers. In a typical spring, you will be treated to over 50,000 daffodils throughout the stunning seaside estate.
