If you’re an adventure-seeker and you enjoy the thrill of exploring Kentucky’s natural beauty atop an ATV, then we may have found your new favorite summer destination. Mine Made Paradise Adventure Park and Campground in Leburn provides thousands of acres of fun—all you need is an ATV! So if you have one, load it up, and if not, you’ll want to find someone who does and convince them to check out this Kentucky hidden gem.
Located in Eastern Kentucky, Mine Made Paradise Adventure Park spans 43,000 acres of reclaimed coal land. This picturesque park is aptly named not just because of the coal land, but because it provides plenty of opportunity for adventure. If you have an ATV, UTV or dirt bike (you do need to bring your own), this is your ultimate paradise.
The park has about 100 miles of trails for ATVs and 32 miles for dirt bikes. These are all clearly mapped out and marked for difficulty. They have options for novice riders all the way up to expert thrill-seekers.
Mine Made makes it easy to enjoy their park with a wonderful campground. They have electric and water sites ($30/night), water hook up only sites ($20/night) and primitive camping is also available for $15/night. You are even able to ride your ATV straight from your site to the trails.
You are free to explore the trails on your own (take the map!), or it's highly recommended to go on one of their guided tours, at least once. The terrain varies throughout the trails, which makes for perfect riding conditions.
Along the trails you'll come across some surprises. You may find railroad tracks, old mine shafts or even the Rocky Mountain Elk, with the largest herd in the eastern United States residing nearby.
Mine Made also offers instructional and safety classes, along with topnotch customer service. The staff wants you to have a one-of-a-kind experience and be free to enjoy the natural beauty of this spectacular area of Kentucky.
Mine Made Paradise is just that – paradise. Of course, it may not be everyone’s idea of a true vacation, but you may be surprised at how much fun you’ll have exploring Kentucky off-road. Mine Made Paradise Adventure Park is located at 750 Sutton Memorial Drive Leburn, KY 41831. For more info, check out their Facebook page here or give them a call at (606) 497-6892.
