Indiana is such a beautiful state. Everyone you ask is going to have different reasons why they love the state, but I took some time to compile a list of some of the reasons why I love the state. I asked for some input from friends and family members when I made this list. Enjoy!
1. We are home to the Indianapolis Colts. I know, not every Hoosier is a big sports fan, but most of us are still happy to support our Colts. Keep bleeding blue everyone!
2. We are home to a pretty incredible Indy PRIDE Festival every year. Say what you will about it, but I'm proud to live in the home of such an incredible festival.
3. We are home to a place that throws special VIP carnivals just for children with special needs and their family and friends. Being a mother of a child with special needs, this one REALLY takes the cake for me.
Both images were taken by a family member of the author at the carnival this year.
4. Home to Pizza King. Who doesn’t like the idea of a train delivering you some pizza?
5. I asked on my Facebook wall for my friends and family members to tell me why they thought Indiana was the best state and one of the biggest responses I got was “family”. I know so many people who live in Indiana because it's where their family is. What’s better than family?
6. Home to Butler University which is ranked as one of the best universities in the state. Given, we are home to A LOT of great colleges. This is just one of them worth mentioning. Certainly not the only one.
9. I know, a Hoosier is going to be the first person to tell you “Indiana is more than just cornfields”. But, that doesn’t stop the cornfields from being awesome.
11. Indiana state fairs and small town fairs are always so incredible and festive. What better way to say you love the state than going to one of these fairs?
