First Fridays In Putnam, Connecticut Has Fairy Doors

Have you ever heard of First Fridays? It’s an art based festival in Putnam that takes place on the first Friday of every month from May through October. So, don’t freak out, you still have four more chances to attend this unforgettable event. While quite magical, that’s not the secret. This place inspires childlike wonder with their collection of fairy doors. Or maybe there really are fairies and they’re drawn in by the insane amount of fun and laughter that takes place here in the summers.

If you can manage to pull yourself away from all the shopping, music, food and more you can start your search for the doors. They'll even give you a sheet to help mark off the ones you've discovered.

But they won't tell you where they are! It's up to you to find these miniature gems hiding all over town.

Hiding in stairwells, just under curbs and around tight corners, the search is almost as fun as the discovery itself. Each door has its own theme, showcasing the arts and various backgrounds of the fairy community.

But these magical doors are from last year. You didn't think I'd actually reveal the secret did you? If you want to see what fairies showed up this year you'll have to visit Putnam yourself!
