Looking for a chance to cool off when the heat starts to get to you? Here’s a list of 8 awesome places where you and the family can enjoy swimming or splashing this summer!
Please note, Jacobs Pool and Kennedy Pool are temporarily closed.
1. Aquatic Center at C.V. Wood Community Center, Lake Havasu City
It’s kind of surprising Arizona doesn’t have more indoor water parks with the intense sun and heat some parts of the state experiences but this one in Lake Havasu City is pretty cool. You can opt for the lap pool, wave pool, kiddie pools, or splash areas with a beach vibe for extra fun.

2. The Crack at Wet Beaver Creek Canyon
The name sounds a little weird but you’ll forget all about that after a dip in the pool here. The picturesque spot can be accessed via the Bell Trail #13, giving you a chance to enjoy the gorgeous scenery all around.

3. Foothills Aquatics Center, Glendale

4. Hutch’s Pool, Tucson
You’ll want to check out this lovely swimming hole once the summer heat begins to fade in September or in late spring. The trek there isn’t terribly difficult but it is a long 7.8 miles over and back through Sabino Canyon. The pool at the end of the hike, however, is worth the effort. The water is surprisingly cold, which will be refreshing for a warm day!

You’ll find a water cannon, water buckets, splash pad, and plenty of areas for the kids to safely wade through.
