The focal point of the garden is the Pagoda itself, a two-story octagonal building that honors Chinese culture and artwork. The venue also doubles as a restaurant, serving Asian-inspired cuisine.

This authentic Pagoda building was constructed in 1989 as a gift to the City of Norfolk and the Commonwealth of Virginia by the Taiwan Provincial Government.

The Pagoda & Oriental Garden incorporates elements of Chinese culture to create a tranquil setting filled with plants, stone, water, and decorative architectural features.

As you stroll along the walkway, you’ll enjoy admiring the lotus flowers, lily pads, and unique elements of art.

In fact, the garden is home to 130 district species of trees and plants which surround the waterfalls, ponds, and fountains.
