Standoff In Delaware Comes To An End: Suspected Cop Killer Shot By Police
While we wish we could report on nothing but the fun stuff, one of The First State’s towns has been struck by an unexpected tragedy. Wednesday afternoon a Delaware State Police Officer responded to a call about a suspicious vehicle in the parking lot of a local Wawa off of Pulaski Highway. After arriving to the Wawa, suspected killer 26-year old Burgon Sealy Junior fatally shot 32-year old Stephen J. Ballard of the Delaware police force. As if the situation wasn’t heartbreaking enough, the suspect managed to flee to his family home on St. Michael Drive in Middletown where he barricaded himself for hours and fired at police numerous times.
