You'll Fall In Love With This Charming River Town In Arizona

When you think of pretty little towns on a river, you might not think of Arizona. In fact, many people think that our state is all desert and no water! This couldn’t be further from the truth. Take a look at this charming little community right on the Colorado River.
Bullhead City is located just across the Colorado River from Laughlin, Nevada.
It's a quiet, community-oriented town with about 40,000 residents.
Bullhead City takes full advantage of the fact that it sits on the banks of the gorgeous Colorado River. Some folks are even lucky enough to live right on the Colorado!
Imagine docking your little boat right behind your house.
Bullhead City Community Park is located right on the river.
This park is a great place to spend an afternoon. You can access the beach and river, plus enjoy picnic tables, playground equipment, a dog park and more. The park's address is 1251 AZ-95.
Take a stroll along one of the paved trails that follow the banks of the Colorado River.
You'll get some exercise while enjoying some beautiful scenery.
Or, just sit for awhile and relax while watching the river.
The Arizona Veterans Memorial honors veterans from the state who served our country.
This beautiful memorial includes an eternal flame, a wall with more than 3,000 names of the Arizonans who lost their lives in service, and a beautiful pathway along the water with trees, flags, columns and statues.
The memorial is located at 2170 Rio Grande Road.
Rotary Park is also located right on the river. It offers a small beach, skate park, playground and more.
Visit Rotary Park at 2315 Balboa Drive.
Everyone here loves to cool off in the river. Kayak, canoe, or just float on a tube...everything's better on the river.
Lake Mohave is just north of Bullhead City, along the Colorado River.
Take a little excursion to go boating, jet skiing and more.
The Bullhead City Farmers Market is another great community event. It's open once per month in February, March, April and May...then reopens in October.
70 vendors participate in this epic market. You'll find everything from hand-crafted items to home-baked breads, and of course...
...tons of fresh produce! The market takes place at Bullhead Community Park on the first Saturday of the month from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm.
The Bullhead City Swimming Pool is the perfect place to cool off on a hot, summer day.
You can swim laps, join others for a water aerobics class or just play on the waterslide and splash around. The pool is located at Ken Fovargue Park at 2355 Trane Road.
