Weird Museums In Wisconsin
Are there any other weird museums in Wisconsin?
If you were to ask me what the weirdest museum in Wisconsin is, I would answer, hands-down, without hesitation, The House on the Rock in Spring Green, Wisconsin. From the creepy "Infinity Room" to the hellscape-without-escape of carousels in the facility's bowels, it's a place that attracts and repels at the same time. And like the proverbial train wreck, as much as you want to leave, you just can't keep your eyes off of it.
An interesting side note - although not one of the weird museums in Wisconsin - is a roadside attraction near Fountain City, Wisconsin. A massive boulder rolled off a Mississippi River bluff and landed in the middle of a house. Rather than tearing it down, the homeowners simply put up a sign and a small parking lot, and renamed their former home The Rock in the House. It's been a popular stop for visitors to western Wisconsin for more than 25 years.
