Access to great hiking trails is definitely one of the perks of living in Mississippi. Amazing trails can be found scattered throughout the Magnolia State; however, one of the best is definitely the Outcroppings Trail in Tishomingo State Park. Featuring a swinging bridge, rare rock formations, and breathtaking scenery, the enchanted trail practically guarantees a magical journey. Take a look:
Tishomingo State Park is located in the northern part of the state, just 45 miles northeast of Tupelo.
Situated at milepost 304 of the renowned Natchez Trace Parkway, even your journey to the park is sure to include unrivaled views.

Because of its location in the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains, the park features massive rock formations that can't be found anywhere else in the state.
Since Tishomingo State Park features RV campsites, a primitive campsite, and six cabins, your outdoor adventure doesn't have to end when the sun goes down.
