Located in Lusby, this state park is one of the most scenic spots in Maryland. Take the 1.8 mile trail that includes twisting boardwalks past sprawling wetlands. When you finally arrive to the beach, you'll be greeted with views of Calvert Cliffs and you can even hunt for fossils!
Part of the mighty Potomac River, Great Falls is a picturesque spot year-round, especially during autumn. Be sure to check out the nearby Billy Goat Trail, which is one of the most unique (yet a bit challenging) hikes in the state.
