For years, rumors of ghosts at The Davenport in downtown Spokane have swirled. But that’s not the only haunted hotel you’ll find in the city—the Mirabeau Park Hotel in the Spokane Valley may have just as much activity. The ghosts of a woman and her two children have been seen walking down the halls, scaring guests and staff. There is also a male ghost there who is said to be the spirit of a man who committed suicide in a room near the front desk.

Now a private residence, Kalama’s Montgomery House was once a B&B. Before that, it was a bordello with an onsite doctor’s clinic at the turn of the century. According to information from a documentary done by a psychic, the land the house was on was once Indian tribal land. Whether or not that’s correct, there have been numerous paranormal reports on the property. It was sold to a couple in 2013 as a private home, and that couple may have bought more than they bargained for.

The Lamplighter is a cozy restaurant that has been a Seaview staple since 1970. It is haunted by the playful spirit of Louie Sloan, the former owner whose ashes are on display inside. Louie loved to play pool, and he sometimes likes to roll pool balls in every direction when there’s no living person nearby. He also enjoys flickering the lights and rattling glasses.

A haunted Super 8? It's true, according to some employees. There have been reports of paranormal activity for over 15 years, especially after some recent renovations that seemed to awaken the spirits. Hotel staff have often experienced odd occurrences on the 3rd floor of the hotel such as feeling watched, objects being moved, things being thrown, voices, the feeling of being touched, shadow figures, full body apparitions and the smell of sweet perfume.

Theodore Roosevelt once stayed at this hotel, which was built in 1886. It is also home to a ghost woman who is said to walk the hotel halls. She's been spotted by both employees and guests.
