Granite was once a big industry in Vermont, and Barre was (and still is) known as the Granite City of Vermont. While most people enjoy the quarries here as gorgeous and natural swimming holes, taking a kayak through an abandoned quarry will give you a whole new way to appreciate the fascinating sights. Let’s take a look this peaceful way to see these granite wonders like never before. They are so out of this world, they really must be seen to believed.
