Located in Tucson, this mountain range offers some diverse terrain and plenty to see and do. During winter months, you'll find snow here. Spend a day skiing at Mt. Lemmon. In the summer, hike to alpine lakes or the water falls at Seven Falls. You'll find lots of wildlife year-round, along with some beautiful, star-filled night skies.

The Bureau of Land Management only allows 50 people in the canyon at a time (for a maximum of three days), so you'll enjoy some real peace and quiet here.

12. Hike The Peavine National Recreation Trail - An Abandoned Rail Trail
This six-mile long trail follows the path of the old Santa Fe, Prescott, and Phoenix Railway. Most of the trail is quite easy; it meanders through some beautiful riparian terrain filled with cottonwoods and willows. As the hike becomes a bit more difficult, you'll visit Watson Lake and witness some beautiful views.
