Located in Frederick County, Thurmont is a quiet little town with a population of 6,170 residents.
While it may be small, Thurmont has a lot of surrounding attractions. This includes historic covered bridges that are perfect for taking a step back in time.
Or head to Catoctin Wildlife Preserve and Zoo, where you can spend a day visiting exotic animals such as gators, monkeys, and camels.
Outdoor lovers will especially enjoy Cunningham Falls State Park.
