When people decide to move to a new town, one of their top criteria includes looking for safe locations. There’s lots of different criteria that can be found that will justify why certain towns and cities were designated as “safest.”
For this list, we’re going to look at data compiled by the FBI in 2013 to determine the safest towns and cities based on the crimes reported to police. (Completed 2014 data has not been released just yet.) We calculated the crime per resident ratio to come up with a slightly more accurate rate instead of just listing the lowest number of reported crimes.
So, do you agree with the FBI’s finding? What cities do you think should have or, alternatively, should not have made the list? Let us know in the comments.
