The Tontitown Winery, open six days a week for free tastings, is housed in the "Taldo House" built in 1917. Tontitown Winery is located at 335 N. Barrington Road in Springdale. Chateau Aux Arc of famed wine country Altus promotes itself as the largest planter of Cynthiana grapes in the world as well as the largest planter of Chardonnay grapes in the United States outside of California. Chateau Aux Arc is named for the French term meaning "at the bend," which is generally believed to be the origin of the name "Ozark." The winery has been locally owned and operated since 2001.

Railway Winery and tasting room can be found on Highway 187, two miles past the Beaver Bridge. One of the newest small farm wineries in Arkansas, Railway Winery is situated alongside the old M&NA Railway line on Trestle 71-7. The tasting room is open on weekends (Friday through Sunday).

The winery has its origins in the immigration into the area of German and Swiss Catholics in the 1880s—which made Altus one of the leading wine communities in the state by the turn of the century—and is today one of the 100 largest wineries in the nation.
