We all know there’s a lot to love about Rhode Island. From the gorgeous coast to the amazing restaurants, and so many other wonderful attractions, there are so many reasons to appreciate living in the Ocean State. Since no place is ever perfect, we all know there a few things that Rhode Islanders have learned to deal with that become increasingly annoying over time. Here are 11 things that you’ve probably grown to hate after living in the smallest state long enough.
Most Rhode Islanders have a love-hate relationship with tourists. Though they definitely help our businesses, they're also a lot to deal with in the nice weather months.
The people of the smallest state are accustomed to quick access to just about everything we need. Whenever we're forced to drive somewhere far away, it feels like the worst.

Not only can Rhode Island weather be unpredictable, it can also be overwhelming. While it can be nice to enjoy the snow, most Rhode Islanders could probably go without it.

While we're on the topic of snow, most New Englanders could do without the daunting task of shoveling after a major storm.
While most of the country enjoys getting all their shopping done in one place, Rhode Islanders are stuck visiting stand alone liquor stores only. Not only are the hours of operation unreliable, it's just annoying.

You've probably watched the same road be worked on for the last two decades if you've lived in Rhode Island long enough.
Some people just assume you know when they're turning.
For some reason even major roads will occasionally be completely unmarked in the state and you'll be completely on your own trying to figure out where you are.

Whether beach traffic, or rush hour, the smallest state is also one of the most densely populated and traffic jams come with the territory.
For some reason passing on the left is just too complicated a process for a lot of Rhode Islanders. You'll rarely find the left lane unoccupied, even when the right lane is smooth sailing.
When the weather report is already more than 90 degrees and the humidity hits, all you can do is abandon all plans and hit the beach.
