The Treasure State is just as much of a gem now as it is in July—in fact, some places look even more beautiful as a winter wonderland. If you enjoy cross country skiing, you'll love the Silver Crest trails located off Highway 89 southeast of Great Falls. The groomed paths are perfect for getting some exercise on a cold winter day, and the warming huts provide the perfect dose of comfort.
Speaking of skiing, novices and veterans alike love coming to the Bohart Ranch. The Ski Shop is open from December through March and offers ski and snowboard rentals to those who don't have their own equipment.
