Have you ever been away from Nebraska, talking with someone who isn’t familiar with our home state? Most people from elsewhere in the world have no idea what life in Nebraska is like, but they do have some thoughts about what our state is all about. These are the things that pop into everyone’s mind when they hear “Nebraska.”
I don't really understand how any adult could misplace an entire state in their memory, but tons of people have asked me just where Nebraska is.
An amazing 90% of Nebraska is farmland, so this one is pretty right on.

Completely true - they outnumber humans by about 4 to 1!
We take exception to this one! When people think "flat," they usually think "boring" as well. There's enough variety - topographical and otherwise - to keep anyone interested.
