This latest snowstorm to hit Wyoming has brought plenty of fresh, new snow to the state, but it’s also brought some freezing cold temperatures. If you had big plans to go shopping or be outdoors this weekend, you might want to reconsider.

While some parts of Wyoming only saw a few inches of snow with yesterday's storm, other parts saw as much as two feet overnight!

Depending on where you live, you could be spending a fair amount of time digging out this morning.
The polar vortex also brought freezing cold temperatures from up north. The state will continue to be affected by those low temps throughout the weekend.

The high for today in Sheridan is a chilly -2 degrees Fahrenheit, with wind temp values as low as -30 F.

Travel could be a bit dicey this weekend, with roads covered in snow or ice.

The National Weather Service advises that if you must travel today, you give yourself plenty of time to reach your destination. Make sure you're prepared with an emergency kit, and if you're traveling on rural roads, have chains or four-wheel drive.
