Empire, founded in 1923, is a ghost town located in Washoe County. At one time this ghost town had over 750 people before U.S. Gypsum Corporation, the town's main source of employment, closed.

Located in White Pine County, Lund was first settled in 1898 by Latter-day Saints.
3. Mina, NV (Population 269)
Mina is located in Mineral County and was founded as a railroad town in 1905.
4. Duckwater, NV (Population 334)
Duckwater is an American village located in the central portion of Nevada in Nye County.
5. Crescent Valley, NV (Population 392)
Crescent Valley is an unincorporated community in Eureka County. This small community includes Crescent Valley Elementary School, Crescent Valley Park and Crescent Valley Fair Grounds. All holidays are celebrated at the fairgrounds.
6. Blue Diamond, NV (Population 290)
Blue Diamond is a rural community located in Clark County. This small community includes a park, city pool, library, event hall, elementary school, church, general store and gas station.

Gabbs was founded in 1941 and is home to Nevada's oldest, continuously operated mine.

Cal-Nev-Ari is located on U.S. Route 95 in Clark County. This small town was created during the mid-1960s by Nancy and Slim Kidwell, and the town's name is an abbreviation of California, Nevada and Arizona.

Sutcliffe is a small community in Washoe County and is part of the Reno-Sparks Metropolitan Statistical Area.
