Now that it’s officially December, it’s time for some real Christmas fun. If you’re ready for some holiday spirit, check out these 10 Louisiana attractions and activities – guaranteed to be Grinch-proof.
1. Participate in a bonfire lighting to help Papa Noel find his way to your community.

2. Take a ride on the Polar Express
Hop on the train at the Union Passenger Terminal in New Orleans, and go for a magical ride that includes visits with Santa, a little silver bell gift and a cup of warm cocoa. We hope you got your tickets in advance, because they typically sell out fast.

8. Eat some gumbo.
Visit the Battle for da Paddle gumbo cook-off and warm up with Louisiana's signature dish. Held each year at the Delcambre Shrimp Festival grounds.
9. Wander the aisles of your favorite toy store.
Christmas is all about toys! If you have a child in your life, you've probably already got a long wish list of toys. If not, consider buying a few toys to give to a charity so that every child will have something to unwrap under the tree this year.
