The bridge under your feet is the oldest bridge in South Carolina. At one point it was the main road between Columbia and Saluda Mountain. It's only open to foot traffic now.

Poinsett State Park is located several hours from Poinsett Bridge so you can imagine how confusing the two of them will only serve to frustrate you.
