Don’t you wish you had a time machine that would take you back to an era where music was clean, people were friendly, and food wasn’t processed? What if we told you that you don’t necessarily need an expensive and complicated piece of technology to experience this? That’s right; all you have to do is visit this old-school Colorado diner that is sure to whisk you back in time.
Located in the Eastern Plains town of Flager, the nostalgic I-70 Diner is home to everything you love about old-fashioned 1950s diners including a retro exterior (complete with neon lights)...
...classic black and white checkered floors...
...and, of course, lots and lots of chrome.
Ironically, the owner of the I-70 Diner wasn't even looking to start a restaurant, but decided to take the plunge when the town of Flagler was without a place to kick back and eat.
The current building was originally Fargo, North Dakota's Starlite Diner, which was already closed, taken apart, and sitting in a storage facility up north.
Opening on July 4th, 2007, the I-70 Diner became an instant icon, bringing in both locals and cross-country travelers with its eye-catching retro look and convenient location.
Whether you are hungry for breakfast, lunch, or dinner, the I-70 Diner promises to fill you up with a delicious and home-cooked meal, toe-tapping jukebox tunes, and some of the friendliest service you will find along the interstate!
(Word of advice? Order the giant chicken fried steak... you can thank me later.)
