Visitors always comment on how friendly and welcoming the residents of Georgia are. In fact, there is even one small town which has earned the title of the friendliest small town in Georgia and it may not be the town you expect…

Wrightsville, Georgia has a population of just over 2,000 residents.

But what’s remarkable about that, is that the small town only covers about 3.5 square miles in total.

Besides the fact that the water tower in this small town reads “Wrightsville, the Friendliest Town in Georgia”…

The residents think so, too!

Local news outlet 13WMAZ interviewed the townspeople of Wrightsville, Georgia, who all acknowledged they would give their shirt of their back, help elderly across the street, and loan out the last dollar in their pocket.

Although residents fully acknowledged that times can be quite tough, what perseveres is the fact that they give back and their good deeds are always rewarded.

If you feel like visiting Wrightsville, Georgia, then make sure you check out the Johnson County courthouse which was built in the late 1800s, and is officially on the National Register of Historic Places.

Also if you feel like visiting during the fall months, you’ll find creatively crafted scarecrows lining the main streets.
