These clouds showed up earlier in the year across Louisiana and Mississippi and there have been various explanations for them, including that they are caused by differences in the air temperature as well as being caused by jet planes. And of course, there are the conspiracy theorists who think they are caused by UFOs...

Over the past four years, this ongoing natural disaster has grown to include more than 20 acres of land. The sinkhole was at first mysterious, but soon it was discovered it was created by an underground salt dome collapsing, which was run by Texas Brine Company. Residents in the area have had to remain evacuated all of these years, although the sinkhole has stopped expanding recently.
