If you want an experience you’ll never forget, then hop in the car and head to Edisto Island. There’s a South Carolina tree tunnel out there that is positively magical and believe me, it’s worth the trip. Head out to Edisto Island on SC-174 and then make a left onto Botany Bay Road. Your adventure begins a couple of hundred yards up the road at one of the most magical places in South Carolina.

Just before you enter the "tunnel of trees" you'll encounter Allen AME Church, founded in 1876. It's a quaint little find and worthy of a stop.

You may want to stop on your way back, since from here you'll be able to see that tunnel of trees you drove all the way out here to see and you'll want to head that way asap.
