Best Desserts In Indiana

What are some of the best places to get desserts in Indiana?
Back 40 Junction (Decatur): It's worthwhile just to walk into this place as the decorations and artifacts take you back. The buffet is famous here with endless salads, a bread and cheese bar, sides, and hand-carved meats. But to be sure, this is one of the best places to feed a sweet tooth. The dessert bar is impressive, with delicious homemade pies, cookies, cherry delight, ice cream with all the toppings, brownies, and whatever else the cooks feel like whipping up. Just seeing the sugary glory is delightful. The most difficult task is deciding what to take. But here you don't have to decide. Try one of everything!
Ivanhoe’s (Upland): This little eatery is big on desserts, offering 100 different shakes and 100 different sundaes. Flavors such as krispy kritter, shipwreck, and touchdown are countered with some you might expect, such as mint chocolate chip, strawberry, or moose tracks. And the sundaes come in the most creative creations, including the decadent chocolate midnight which is hand-dipped chocolate ice cream with chocolate wafer cookies, a chocolate shell, and hot fudge. What??!! And for those who dare to become a "100 Club" member, you must try all 100 varieties of shakes or sundaes. If you make it through, the prize is a special t-shirt and your name added to the plaque. Are you up to the delicious task?
Pea-Fections (Vincennes): Since 1996, this unique downtown restaurant has offered folks hand-made cheesecakes in interesting varieties, such as coconut cream, chocolate chip cookie dough, and Dutch apple brandy. Order a specialty torte, some bread pudding, or the dessert of the day. But if you can wait, some of the lunch offerings are delicious too. We love the Cobb salad sandwich wrap and the signature chicken salad. Each sandwich comes with your choice of fresh bread or without. In addition, the desserts can be ordered ahead for special occasions or just because company is coming over and you want something special.
