I’m not a big concert person and haven’t attended one since my teenage years, but if I were going to change that, it would be with an underground concert in Texas at Natural Bridge Caverns. Listening to live tunes surrounded by craggy rock walls sounds like such a magical experience, and you can bet it’s going on my bucket list! If you’re a fan of caves, music, and/or you just want to do something out of the ordinary, I think you would love this.
Natural Bridge Caverns is known for being the largest show cave in Texas, offering all sorts of fascinating cave tours and tons of aboveground attractions.
What many people aren't aware of is that the cavern recently added a new hat to its ever-growing collection: concert venue.
It was discovered that The Ballroom, a natural underground amphitheater in the caverns, has unmatched sound quality, making it the perfect space for concerts.
Between the crystal-clear notes reverberating off the limestone cave walls to the ethereal glow imparted by pulsating, multicolored lights, the experience is truly indescribable.
Have you ever attended an underground concert in Texas at Natural Bridge Caverns? If so, tell us all about your experience in the comments! Check out our previous article for a fun, two-part family day trip that includes the caverns and its sister attraction, Natural Bridge Wildlife Ranch.
If you need somewhere to stay in San Antonio, I highly recommend the historic and beautiful Hotel Emma.
