I am a nature lover and self-proclaimed foodie wrapped in one package. In my previous life, I was an Accountant, but numbers were boring and writing is the only thing that fuels my soul. So, I write because it's my freedom...it brings me joy. When I'm not writing dope articles for OnlyInYourState, I am writing and editing articles for my online blog on Medium.com. Or, when I get the chance, I am off on a trip with my family chasing waterfalls, or simply exploring the great outdoors. My mantra is to always find the best part of every day and bask in it.
If you’re like me and you’re old enough to remember the iconic sitcom Cheers from the 80s and early 90s, then you’ll know the theme song, “Where Everybody Knows Your Name.” Cheers is no longer on TV, but you can watch the reruns on some popular streaming services. So, why am I talking about Cheers? Well, there is a neighborhood restaurant in Arkansas that shares the same name. Cheers in the Heights might not be the famous TV bar, but it’s a place where you can sit, enjoy good company, and indulge in a delicious meal…as well as an adult beverage for the grown folks. Intrigued? Read on to learn more about this Little Rock restaurant that might become your new go-to spot.
Are you yearning for a night on the town or just a casual lunch at a restaurant with patio seating? Or perhaps a place where the staff make you feel at home? If you answered yes, then head to Cheers in the Heights in Little Rock.
Cheers in the Heights, 2010 N Van Buren St, Little Rock, AR 72207, USA
You might recognize the name from the old TV sitcom, but this Cheers is way better than the bar on the show. For starters, the sitcom did not serve this delicious fried green tomatoes topped with shrimp.
In fact, the only things you could get from the TV bar were beer, nuts, and maybe some pretzels. Plus, the original Cheers was around before the TV show, however, it was under different ownership.
As far as the menu goes, you can expect Cajun inspired cuisines, steaks, burgers, sandwiches, seafood, and more. Speaking of seafood, don’t skip over their signature salmon salad or their flavorful seafood selections. This Red Snapper topped with Gulf Shrimp is singing to my foodie soul! Yum!
So, the next time you’re searching for a great neighborhood spot, stop by Cheers in the Heights, sit on the patio, and enjoy the cool vibes of this neighborhood restaurant in Arkansas.
There are other franchise locations in Maumelle and Fayetteville, so you might have a Cheers near you where folks might know your name too.
