I’ll admit it: I can be a bit of a picky eater. I have been a vegetarian for most of my life, so when I’m hanging out with meat-eating friends or relatives, I always have to check the menu of any prospective restaurant to make sure there’s something we can all enjoy there. One alternative is to visit a food hall, where the variety of eateries on offer means that even the pickiest of eaters can find something to please their palate. We’re lucky enough to have a few great food halls in Georgia, but if you’re seeking one with a truly unique history, look no further than Krog Street Market in Atlanta.

In all, Krog Street Market spans nine acres. This mixed-use development is in the lovely Inman Park neighborhood and contains both apartments and a sprawling food hall containing several restaurants and shops.

The renovations have been so skillful that it may look like this place was always a marketplace or food hall, but the building has a rich history. One section was actually an immensely successful stove and iron pan factory up until the 1980s, and another section was Tyler Perry Studios.
