If you’re anything like us, pasta is LIFE. Served up saucy, cheesy, deliciously smooth, or perfectly al dente with all the fixings … it doesn’t get much better! Unless said pasta is made from scratch, just the way your Italian Nonna made it back in the Old Country. Of course, nothing beats your Nonna’s home cooking, but when she’s not around to help curb those Italian cravings, what’s a hungry cowboy to do? Fortunately for all of us carb-loving folks here in Wyoming, we have quite a few delicious trattorias hiding up our sleeves. But one hidden gem Italian restaurant is quietly making a name for itself with its fresh, decadent handmade pasta. Next time you’re in Lander, WY, check out Mulino Italian Bistro and get your forks ready for twirling!
Mulino Italian Bistro is a journey to Italy, Wyoming style, right here in Lander.
As you walk through the rustic pergola entrance, the aroma of garlic, basil, and simmering sauces envelops you. Inside, sleek, industrial touches mingle with warm woods and modern lighting to create an ambiance that whispers, “Benvenuti!” - welcome to our table.
The heart and soul of the bistro lies in its chef-owners, Angie and Joe Hammer, who breathed new life into Mulino Bistro in 2019.
A restaurant had been on their mind for years, and the Old Mill in Lander was the perfect spot to make their dream come true. Today, this highly trained chef-sommelier duo pours their heart and soul into every dish, every experience, and every delicious wine pairing - and that care certainly shines through!

Mulino’s menu reads like a Western-inspired love letter to Italy - short and sweet and with the utmost attention to quality. Start with the Black Truffle Risotto, bedecked with wild mushrooms and fresh parmesan, or some Basil Pesto Toast, with Burrata and toasted pine nuts.
Finally, homemade desserts! Dig into a classic, like a decadent Tiramisu or some lovely French beignets, or enjoy one of the other beautifully plated finales.
These beautiful dishes change often, but no matter what is on the menu when you visit, you're definitely going to want some homemade vanilla ice cream to go with it.
So, whether you’re a weary traveler seeking refuge or a curious foodie on a quest, follow the scent of garlic and basil. Pull up a chair at the family-owned Mulino Italian Bistro, and let the pasta tell its tale!
