Hike To This Beautiful Pond At This Sprawling Forest In Connecticut
Hiking in Connecticut is one of our favorite activities, and there are certainly plenty of spots for it! The Nutmeg State is teeming with state parks and forests to explore. One of our favorite areas to hit the trails is the Pachaug State Forest. This massive preserve spans more than 28,000 acres and crosses through several towns in eastern Connecticut, including Voluntown. As you can imagine, there are quite a few great hiking trails in the Pachaug State Forest, but the one we’re featuring today is the Green Fall Pond Trail. This moderately challenging loop is just over four miles in length, is well-marked, and shows off some great scenery (and even a little history!). Check it out:
