Located in downtown Portland, the museum is the perfect spot for a few hours of exploring Oregon's past.
At the time of this writing, current exhibits include Models in Motion: The Ivan L. Collins Collection of Historic Vehicles in Miniature, which features fantastic miniature to-scale wagons. This exhibit can be seen between January 26 and May 4, 2024.
Another is the Portland Past and Present photography exhibit of images exploring how the Rose City has changed over time. It runs from December 29, 2023, to July 7, 2024.

The Experience Oregon permanent exhibit is also not to be missed. The 7,000 square feet of displays offer a comprehensive, inclusive look at Oregon's past and present.
The curators describe the exhibit as "a dynamic educational space. Experience Oregon allows visitors to learn about the countless people, places, and events that have shaped this place."
The voices, experiences, artifacts, and contributions of the many different cultures and peoples who have and continue to live in Oregon are represented in the displays.
There are a variety of interactive stations that include games that bring the content to life, helping visitors make connections between past and present.
