Carr Creek State Park in Kentucky offers all of those things and is a stunning place to see and best of all, it’s open year-round! Carr Creek State Park was one of Kentucky’s earliest settlement areas in the 1700s and if you visit today you’ll see why folks decided to settle here. With pristine waters and lush forests, it’s no wonder settlers wanted to call this place home.
You’ll find 39 campsites here for RVs and tents with electric and water hookups. All of the sites are close to the waterfront so that you can enjoy boating, fishing, and swimming with ease.
The campground is quite family-friendly and even provides a playground for the little ones to play on. You can bring your pets as well, as long as they are kept on a leash. It’s a great place to bring the family any time of year.
After you’ve set up camp, be sure to come to the water’s edge and take in the breathtaking views. The still waters and green trees are such a picturesque landscape and you’ll be so glad you chose this place as your campground.
There are a ton of amenities available like restrooms, showers, laundry, picnic areas, a supplies store, and even a sandy beach to relax on. Get a tan, have a swim, or simply enjoy a good book in these lovely surroundings.
There’s a marina and a boat ramp on-site if you’d like to do a little boating and explore the lush views from the water. The water spans 750 acres and there is an abundance of bass, crappie, and walleye to fish. Just make sure to bring your fishing license!
