When she's not out and about dancing with the meanest storms on planet Earth for funsies she can be found wandering, shooting landscapes, writing, editing photos, and otherwise up to no good. Legend has it that she can also be occasionally spotted typing up short bios in the third person, but those rumors are unsubstantiated.
Pop quiz: What’s one of the funnest things to do you can possibly think of? If you’re anything like me – and you’re here, so you definitely might be – one of the first things that might pop into your head is something like hiking with goats in Indiana. What, too specific? Okay, well, that’s something I was wondering about, so I went searching for something like it, and you’re going to adore what I found as much as I do: there’s a small family-owned farm in the Hoosier State that doesn’t offer goat hikes, but rather goat walks. Come walk a goat on a gorgeous farm in Indiana‘s wine country and fall in love with the simple joys of life all over again. It’s impossible to have a baa-d time. Don’t worry. I’ve goat more.
Welcome to Creme de la Crop, a labor of love dreamed up and pulled off by Leann Sego, an interior designer by day, on her family's gorgeous 70-acre farm.
The result is one of the downright most delightful things to do in all of Indiana, guaranteed to make anyone who shows up for the first time exclaim something like "You've goat to be kidding me!" (i am so sorry)
There's a little something at this farm for everyone, no matter what floats your goat.
The best part, though, in my opinion, is the fact that here, you can take the goats for a walk. As if getting to hang out with these quirky critters wasn't enough - you can walk 'em, too. Don't even goat me started about how much fun this is, and it's one of the only places in Indiana where you can do it (if not THE only).

Everyone aged six years and older is eligible for goat-walking shenanigans.
Here's how it works: you purchase the number of tickets to correspond with the number of goats you're hoping to walk, not by how many people are in your party. Goat walking is $5 per ticket as of the time of this writing, and once you sign a waiver for the safety of everyone involved, you get to goat on your way.
Even if walking the goats isn't your forte, no worries - we goat you, babe. You can feed these precious little guys fruit and veggies as long as the farm store is open.
These goats are very social, and there's only one downside to any and all of this: eventually, you'll have to go home! I wouldn't be surprised if this goat-walking thing became one of your all-time fave things to do with a whole afternoon.
Seriously, it's the worst that we need to leave at all. And even worse still, I have more puns. Here we goat again.
Farm store hours are on Monday through Saturday, from 10:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. and on Sundays from 11 a.m. until 4 p.m. When you arrive, be sure to check in with the farm store upon arrival to make sure the little guys have enough water for snack time. Just remember, no grains: this can make the goats sick, and ain't nobody goat time for that.
You herd it here first: Creme de la Crop is an amazing place to pick up farm-fresh (very literally) meat, cheese, soaps, lotions, and so much more - and you can walk the goats! You can't lose.
So come on out and learn why walking these wonderful creatures is simply the GOAT (in this case, Greatest Of All Time).
To learn more about walking the goats, as well as all the amazing things you can purchase from this incredible family-run farm, be sure to visit the official Creme de la Crop website. Sure, you can’t go hiking with goats in Indiana (yet), but you can do the next best thing and give ’em a nice walk instead. Don’t let this fun attraction be the one that goat away.
