The Branding Iron is a supper club in Minnesota that’s been serving up classic fare for more than half a century. Located in the charming town of Preston, in Minnesota’s Bluff Country, a visit to this restaurant is a nostalgic, because you just down run into old-school dining like this as often as you used to in the Land of 10,000 Lakes – especially in this part of the state.
Believe me when I say that The Branding Iron is definitely worth the trip to Preston in its own right. But, there are even more reasons for road tripping to visit this charming town in Minnesota’s Bluff Country. It’s the gateway community for Forestville/Mystery Cave State Park. Cyclists and hikers will appreciate that the Harmony-Preston Valley State Trail runs right through the village. It connects with the longer Root River State Trail – and, thus, to Fountain, Lanesboro, and Rushford – just a couple of miles outside of town. The Country Trails Inn and Suites is a lodging option that’s close to the trail and within walking distance of The Branding Iron.
