A visit to Lake Cascade should be on every bucket list. Located near the towns of Cascade and Donnelly, Lake Cascade is a man-made reservoir that has been attracting individuals since 1948. It is the fourth largest lake in Idaho.
During the summer, there is plenty to keep you busy at Lake Cascade State Park including swimming, boating, hiking, and camping. But when the winter weather arrives, it doesn’t mean there is less to do here.
Lake Cascade State Park is a prime destination for Nordic skiing. With multiple groomed trails around the park, there are plenty of opportunities no matter how far you want to travel.
You can also strap on your snowshoes and explore many of the trails as well. And, even better, the park is known to host events that provide instruction on both cross-country skis and snowshoes. You’ll want to visit the Lake Cascade State Park Facebook page for updates.
