South Carolina has been home for AnneMarie since 2001. Her favorite part of the state is Lake Jocassee. An App State alumna, it's always the mountains; the lake bonus makes it heavenly. When not writing about the state, she may be spending time with family, relaxing by the pool, or out somewhere enjoying nature.
Victoria Bluff Heritage Preserve is a 977-acre nature preserve located in Bluffton. It’s a great choice for a place to escape the crowds of this area for a little solitude but perhaps you don’t want to travel too far out of town. There’s a little-known trail at this spot that’s a nice biking and walking path near Hilton Head, too, perfect for a side of exercise along with that solitude.
After your hike or ride, grab some lunch at a delicious Bluffton restaurant. It’s got a cozy, rustic atmosphere and unique menu choices like fish and grits and coconut cheesecake.
What’s your favorite little-known trail in South Carolina to hike or ride on?
