Madison is one of my favorite cities in Mississippi. Not only is it one of the most peaceful places to live, but there are endless opportunities for outdoor adventure. If you’re considering spending the day in Madison, there’s one fantastic community park in Madison, Mississippi that’s worth your while. Let’s check it out:
Strawberry Patch Park is a local community park in Madison, Mississippi.
One of my favorite parts about this park is that the playground caters to kids of all ages. There are swing sets for the big kids and plenty of attractions for the younger ones to enjoy. Plus, there are benches in the shade which is always a welcome sight.
You'll probably encounter a lot of geese during your visit. Please don't feed them! I promise, they get by just fine on their own. And remember to throw away your trash after your visit in the trash bins nearby. Let's make sure to leave the park even prettier than we found it so that it can be enjoyed by everyone!
There's a one-mile walking path that will lead you all through the park.
Visit the Madison Parks and Recreation website to learn more. If you liked Strawberry Patch Park, you’ll love the Simmons Arboretum, which is also in Madison. And while you’re spending the day here, be sure to grab a bite to eat at The Mermaid Cafe, a lovely little waterfront restaurant in Madison, Mississippi.
