Kick off the holiday season with a visit to Three Nights of Lights, a popular Rhode Island Christmas event that’s set for Dec. 1-3, 2023, and features a full menu of festive fun.
Officially signaling the start of the Christmas season in Providence, the lighting of the Christmas tree will take place at Providence City Hall from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Dec. 1.
Keep the Christmas spirit going with a Friday evening visit to Grace Episcopal Church for the FirstWorks Multimedia Installation, and pose for photos at the Roving Selfie Station.
The highlight of Saturday evening will arguably be the Holiday Basin Lighting, set for 5:30 p.m. in Downtown Providence. Santa will arrive at the must-visit Christmas event on a WaterFire boat.
After Santa arrives in Providence, he’ll head over to Santa’s Village to listen to Christmas wishes and pose for photos.
Don’t forget your Christmas list. After you’ve explored the Buy Local RI Vendor Market, explore the shops downtown, and meander through town to admire the Christmas decorations.
