We love going camping in Kentucky as there are so many beautiful places to do so. It’s especially lovely when you can include a bit of luxury and camp in comfortable style with the one you love. We’ve found the perfect place for you and your special someone to get away from it all while enjoying modern comforts and snuggling together under the stars. Welcome to the Kentucky River Bourbon Cabin!
The Kentucky River Bourbon Cabin is an idyllic two-bedroom cabin nestled on the banks of the Kentucky River just 28 miles west of Lexington that is especially good for a romantic winter getaway.
Why not settle in with a drink on the enclosed patio which has a bar and wicker furniture with views of the lush trees? It’s a wonderful way to start your getaway.
The living room is tastefully appointed with a stone fireplace, a flatscreen television, and a comfy couch where you can snuggle together in front of the fire and watch a romantic movie.
The modern, full kitchen is lovely and has everything you need to cook a delectable romantic meal. Make sure to pay a visit to one of the nearby distilleries or wineries like Four Roses, Woodford Reserve, or Buffalo Trace to get something to go with dinner.
In the evening, head out to the deck and soak in the hot tub to see the sunset as it fades to a canopy of millions of twinkling stars. The soothing sounds of the flowing river add to the serenity of this place.
There’s even a heater for the seating area so that you won’t freeze when you get out of the hot tub! It seems this host has thought of everything! Plus, it’s a nice way to have a campfire without having to chop wood and find kindling. Maybe even roast some marshmallows.
The spacious deck also has deck chairs, a grill, and a dining area if you’d prefer to enjoy your meal outside before having a soak or to lounge around during the day.
There are two bedrooms to choose from. This loft bedroom is quite comfy with a flatscreen television and a soft, spacious queen-sized bed.
