I am a nature lover and self-proclaimed foodie wrapped in one package. In my previous life, I was an Accountant, but numbers were boring and writing is the only thing that fuels my soul. So, I write because it's my freedom...it brings me joy. When I'm not writing dope articles for OnlyInYourState, I am writing and editing articles for my online blog on Medium.com. Or, when I get the chance, I am off on a trip with my family chasing waterfalls, or simply exploring the great outdoors. My mantra is to always find the best part of every day and bask in it.
If you live in Indiana, chances are, you’ve been to one of our state parks. And of course, those parks provide us with tons of outdoor recreation, and I believe they are all worthy of a visit. However, there are some local small-town parks that belong on your list as well. One of which is Falls Park located just 35 miles outside of Indianapolis in the charming town of Pendelton. Boasting a waterfall, a swimming pool, a fishing pond, hiking trails, a museum, and more, this small-town park in Indiana is jam-packed with tons of adventure. And if you ask me, you can easily spend a day exploring all that this hidden gem has to offer.
The delightful town of Pendleton, Indiana might be small, but it certainly is mighty. Moreover, there's a museum, a golf course, a creek from which the park was named, as well as a waterfall, and fishing pond. You can easily spend an entire day exploring all the fun adventures.
