If you bring it in with you, you carry it back out! The idea of this rule may seem simple, but sadly many choose to ignore it. In order to keep these amazing outdoor spaces in tact, we reiterate that whenever you're visiting someplace like this, you respect nature and your surroundings.

While I've seen visitors of all ages walk this trail, with and without shoes, I'd suggest that if you're planning on visiting and have a pair of hiking boots... wear your hiking boots. The quick trail can easily be explored in sneakers, but often has muddy and rocky areas that are better suited for hiking boots.
Quickly after starting your hike to the lake, you'll begin to hear the peaceful sound of running water.
