I’m not a crowds person. Especially if I’m trying to find a place to wind down and relax from the overload of daily life. I guess that’s why I head into the woods so often! While much of southern New Hampshire is heavily populated, the further north you go, the fewer people you will encounter. You can’t travel further north than the town of Pittsburg, the last stop before hitting Canada. It could probably called the most remote town in the state and it makes for a perfect remote New Hampshire getaway.

Pittsburg is the northernmost town in the state, and also its largest town by area. As such, its population is spread out, providing for solitude away from busy life.
