The Kankakee Fish And Wildlife Area Trail In Indiana Is A Magical Hidden Gem Worth Exploring
Fun fact: there are well over 1,000 amazing hiking trails in Indiana. With so many to choose from, it’s easy to see how many get overlooked; personally, I’m always looking for the trails less traveled. The misfits. The hidden gems. The one I found today is amazing because I can’t believe we’ve never covered it – it’s a gorgeous little trail on a hidden nature preserve even the locals may not know about. For this alone, I think it’s the best hike near Hanna, Indiana, and it’s got a lot to offer. Let’s check it out!
For more information about the trail, be sure to visit its official AllTrails listing (and if you’re thinking about checking out AllTrails+, I recommend it for sure). To learn more about the reserve itself, check out the official Department of Natural Resources website. It really is wonderful, and the fact that it’s a hidden gem just makes it even better!
